The Founders Office Building renovation consisted of a full interior build-out of an existing building in
downtown Tampa to provide clients with an open, multi-functional floorplan with clean, contemporary interiors and lighting. Despite the small scale of the existing space, the exterior glazing around the perimeter created spacious feeling for the clients. Including a conference room , reception area, offices, and kitchen, the result is an efficient use of limited space and dramatic visual effect for the interior environment.

Inspired by the surf culture of the 1960s, Woodies Wash Shack is a family-owned
business that offers the best car wash experience in the Tampa bay area. This location
marks a testament as the beginning of an expansion into the region. Built with the
customer and community in mind, this design utilizes the most cutting-edge technology in
the car wash industry. The use of natural materials such as wood and stone, combined
with vibrant colors and retro signage, creates an ambiance that transports customers back
to the golden era of surf culture. EMPAD has introduced the first-ever two-story Woodie’s
Wash Shack model that features an impressive 100-foot car wash tunnel, allowing
customers to enjoy a wider range service and enhancing their car wash experience.

As a repeat client, MacDill looked to EMPAD to undertake an extensive interior renovation of their 25,000 square foot fitness facility to include space planning, a new mezzanine and vertical circulation elements, mechanical upgrades, new equipment layouts, finishes, and lighting. The result is a state-of-the-art fitness center that is designed to best serve the MacDill community as it seeks to promote healthy lifestyle opportunities for its employees and their families.
